Crash Bandicoot: Marsupial Vs. Mutant is a fanmade idea for a Crash Bandicoot game. It takes elements from the original series, such as crates, spin-attacking and collecting gemstones while offering an open-world experience and beating up enemies. It chronologically follows the first three Crash Bandicoot games, but it's continuation differs.

Dr. Neo Cortex, having been foiled by Crash once again decides to resort to not an evil scheme, but just wreck havoc upon the island, so he destroys the jungle and steals its sources to power his labratory for crazy experiments. Crash Bandicoot, having laid-back and enjoying himself since his last adventure, gets the news and sets off across the island to ruin Cortex's plan.
